Job Description

CS2 Consulting is a small IT contractor headquartered in Hanover, MD that provides high level solutions to Federal Government customers and are always looking for high quality professionals to join our team. Position Title: System Administrator

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Salary Range: Open

Location: Hanover, MD

Description:
Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure in Windows and Linux Environment.

Role/Responsibilities:
  • Creating, modifying and deleting user accounts, performing system back-ups, and maintaining system configuration files
  • Fundamental understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems and be familiar with either UNIX or NT commands or utilities at the user level
  • Installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packages
  • Troubleshoot failures and correct problems
  • Develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies, server configuration and consolidation, and verification of the health and status of the entire IT infrastructure
  • Provide support for enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, and E-mail.
Education & Related Experience:
  • Five (5) years of demonstrable experience in system administration and support of a large client-server-based IT enterprise. Or the individual shall have 5 additional years of full-time computer science work that can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree
  • One of the following DoD approved certifications: Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP+ CE, GCIH, GCED, CCNP Security, CySA+, or GICSP
