Position Summary
The System Administrator must have the hands-on ability to both maintain / upgrade existing systems and design / deploy new technologies while adhering to best practices and business level objectives. You must have the ability to work in a high pressure, demanding environment. The candidate should have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and can complete complex projects with minimal direction / supervision and aggressive implementation of technology.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Daily administration, documentation, and operation of physical, virtual and cloud-based server infrastructure environments.
- Assist in integration and documentation of new applications and technologies.
- Enterprise patching, software, and OS image deployment - Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM) or similar technologies.
- Development and execution of PowerShell scripts to automate IT tasks and processes.
- Basic networking (VLANs, subnetting, high availability NIC configuration).
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- In depth knowledge of Azure Cloud Environment.
- DNS, DHCP, Certificate Services (PKI).
- Windows Failover Clustering, File Services, DFS, WSUS.
- Active Directory and Group Policies (AGPM a plus).
- Active Directory mergers.
- Microsoft Server 2012 R2 through Server 2016 - OS installation / configuration.
- Microsoft O365, Azure Active Directory and Intune.
- Virtualization Technologies (VMWare vSphere 6) (Azure).
- Scripting / Coding Languages (PowerShell, Batch, Visual Basic, Visual C#).
- Disaster Recover and Backups.
- Dell Server Technologies.
Education and Experience Required
- At least 5 years of job experience working with Microsoft servers.
- MCSA: Windows Server 2012 or higher.
- 2 to 3 years of Microsoft Azure experience preferred.
