As a SWAT registered nurse, you are at the frontline of the hospital admission process where initial patient assessment data are gathered and utilized to drive the collaborative medical and nursing care efforts. When discharging, you are responsible for providing support to nurses, patients, and other team members to expedite patient discharge. While admissions are the bulk of the SWAT nurse role, responding to RRT’s/Codes and requests for procedures is a key element of this role as well.
A Registered Professional Nurse is one who practices within the scope of the Illinois Nurse Practice Act to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, high quality, individualized nursing care, based upon knowledge and experience, the nursing process and leadership skills. The RN incorporates the creative factors of human care and performs established procedures in accordance with the organization’s and the nursing division policies, procedures in accordance with the organization’s and the nursing division policies, procedures, and standards of care. The RN coordinates family involvement in the assessment/treatment and continuing care of the patient, and delegate’s tasks to competent and appropriate caregivers.
Position available: Full-time & Part-time, 10am-10pm with rotating weekends
. Requirements:BSN required
Graduate of an accredited nursing school
Registered Nurse with current Illinois License.
BLS/CPR certification required.
Strong focus on patient-centered care required, as well as good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow instructions and record information accurately
Ability to speak and write English to the extent necessary for safe and efficient performance of the job.
Experience:
1+ years experience
EMR/EPIC experience is a plus
Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) experience preferred
Basic computer and typing skills required
