We do we do?
Fujitsu Virtuora Service Orchestrator (VSO) is a software application designed for managing communication services, designing network services, and automating the network service delivery across multi-domain networks including cloud, core, edge, transport, and other technologies. VSO is a cloud native application leveraging open source software to enable service providers to deliver different kinds of services, for example, Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, cloud-native, containerized, component-based, and Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC).
We are looking for a Software Engineer with experience developing cloud-native, scalable, distributed, highly available software for telecommunications networks. Are you interested in software for network automation? Do you have expertise in putting together cloud-native environments using distributed message buses, data lakes and warehouses, block storage, load-balancing, service gateways, for example using industry-standard open-source software? Position Overview:
- Projects you may work on in this position include Development and integration of Core Platform components, including cross-cutting concerns such as logging, security, persistence, high-availability, notifications, messaging, RESTful APIs
- In this position, you will report to Shash Chatterjee.
- This is a remote position in the United States and/or Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Develop network service orchestration software in a scalable, distributed cloud-native environment
- Enhance and integrate multiple underlying open-source software components
- Participate in requirement analysis, design, development, and maintenance of multiple software components of a service orchestrator to meet customer requirements using innovative technologies
- Issue investigation, status, and resolution during System Test
Skills & Knowledge:

- Desirable: Familiar with ORAN-SC/TMF/ONAP activities

Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Software Engineer or equivalent role
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development of software using distributed, micro-services-based architecture
- Expertise in Core Java, Threads, Collections, and data structures, Python or Golang.
- Experience in OOAD, Design patterns, UML modeling
- Hands-on experience of various communication protocols such as Netconf, TL1 and modeling tools such as Yang, Json, XML
- Experience in designing and developing REST APIs
- Exposure to messaging frameworks like Kafka and Java related frameworks like OSGI, Blueprint, SpringBoot
- Experience in unit test, continuous integration (CI/CD) frameworks such as Junit, Jenkins, postman
- Familiarity with Git, Gerrit, JIRA, Familiar with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience in Linux or any equivalent UNIX flavors
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, micro-services technology
