Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Technician to join our team in our Dallas, TX office. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Will assist project managers with survey drafting
- Writing of legal descriptions
- Preparation of survey exhibits
- Label and compute survey points
- Records research
- Processing raw field data through Trimble Business Center
- Other aspects of land surveying
- Willingness to do both inside Tech work and outside field work when needed
Required Skills
Required Experience
- Position requires 1-5 years of land surveying experience in a Survey Technician role
- An SIT registration is preferred or in final process of obtaining SIT
- Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of easement documents, legal descriptions, final plat preparation, construction staking
- The ability to utilize survey field equipment is essential
- Proficient in Trimble Business Center and Trimble Data Center
- Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D for production activities
- Ability to manage multiple task, project coordination, and interaction with other design services
- Full use of Microsoft Office
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode
- Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills
