SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Surgical Liaison serves as a personal contact for families and companions of surgical patients during the perioperative period. The liaison provides support and helps to alleviate stress by engaging with patients, families, and companions to address concerns and facilitating communication between families, patients and staff. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable regulations, policies, procedures and standards of Penn State Health.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

High School diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Three (3) Months Of Patient Care Related Experience Preferred
