Kansas City Orthopedic Alliance has openings for full?time Surgery Schedulers. The successful candidates will demonstrate:

Requirements include ability to: Present a positive and pleasant atmosphere. Schedule and coordinate surgical procedures with patients and facilities. Call insurance to get benefits and any authorizations that are needed. Communicate directly with patients regarding surgery and insurance information. Serves as the liaison between the patient, medical support staff and the providers. Demonstrate a positive interpersonal relationship when dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, other department employees and physicians.

Responsibilities involve: Scheduling surgeries for patients in an efficient and timely manner.
Uses all means available to secure the highest possible reimbursement through the appropriate precertification and preauthorization of all procedures scheduled. Position has a direct impact on revenue through the accurate and timely processing of procedures.
