DutiesSummary

You will serve as a Support Services Assistant in the Administrative Division (N00R1), Office of the Telecommunications Manager (N00) of NAVAL COMMUNICATION.

This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.


Responsibilities
  • You will prepare pre-appointment packages, process all onboarding paperwork, indoctrinate new employees in federal DOD rights, benefits and station regulations.
  • You will generate and authorize routine Request for Personnel Actions (RPA) in the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) ensuring all RPAs are completed accurately.
  • You will maintain tickler lists of all official monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting requirements.
  • You will maintain administrative files in accordance with Records Management requirements.
  • You will serve as the Activity Purchase Charge Card (APCC) holder.
  • You will initiate background questionnaires in EQIP, reviewing for accuracy and missing information that is pertinent to the investigation.
  • You will act as Personnel Security POC on all official station visit request from other federal agencies and contractors.
  • You will serve as the Labor Relations Assistant as a recorder in the union/management negotiations.
  • You will serve as the Assistant Drug Free Workplace Program Coordinator scheduling all drug testing events.
  • You will assist with Worker's Compensation program proceedings.

    -Experience producing documents and presentations with Microsoft Office Programs including but not limited to Word, Power Point, and Excel.
    • Experience ordering supplies using a Government Credit Card or equivalent to ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.
    • Experience preparing memorandums, instructions and working papers following specific correspondence policies and procedures.

    This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
