DutiesSummary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Major Range Test Facility Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This is a TERM position, which is a temporary position that is not to exceed 13 months. A term position may be extended to a maximum of eight years depending upon the needs of management.


Responsibilities
  • Perform technical supply work and responsible for maintaining Army property accountability utilizing automated systems (e.g., Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-A) and Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW)).
  • Perform a variety of technical property book functions related to Table of Distribution and Allowance (TDA), Common Table of Allowances (CTA) and Installation property book maintenance.
  • Review and analyze reports, listings, and documentation that are produced within the automated system. Establishes and maintains designated hand receipt files, and checks for accuracy, signatures, and dates.
  • Research different areas within the database to extract information to resolve data discrepancies, respond to questions, provide status, verify information, and prepare management reports or other related functions
  • Prepare a variety of correspondence, sensitive item inventory reports, and semi-annual and annual inventory of all installation hand receipts.
  • Perform research, cataloging non-standard Line Item Numbers (LINs) and National Stock Numbers (NSNs) documentation, hand receipts from automated systems, and numerous supply catalog files (e.g., Army Master Data File), etc.
  • Perform a variety of technical property book functions related to Table of Distribution and Allowance (TDA), Common Table of Allowances (CTA) and Installation property book maintenance.

Occasional travel - Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is 5 percent on an annual basis.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.     Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying standardized supply regulations, policies, and procedures to supply functions, inventory, property accountability and disposal; and experience utilizing supply related automated programs (e.g., Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A) and Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

    Education: Completed a half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Chain Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

    Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
