SUMMARY
The Supply Technician performs various aspects of supply management work under general supervision and is expected to perform consistently with Army Regulations and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) policy and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.
All Supply Technician assignments are in support of the DoD CBRN Response Enterprise (CRE) and are related to Supply Management/Inventory Control, Direct CRE Team Support, Maintenance, or Purchasing. Technicians interface with web-based ordering and/or inventory management system for requisitioning, processing, tracking, receiving, and issuing equipment/supplies. Ensures requests are successfully completed and closed out. Performs routine inventories and other inventory control activities. Records all reported problems (such as product quality deficiencies or equipment safety issues), defining the nature of the problem, and provides steps to resolve. Some assignments require the technician to be on call 24/7. This work may require consideration of program requirements, together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines and Army regulations. The work involves individual and group oriented tasks or supply actions. Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
Required (Minimum) Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory control
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of the governing inventory supply and purchasing systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, FAR/DFAR or other established guidelines
- Experience with Maximo or other web-based inventory programs
- Experience with inventory control, stock levels, cataloging, SLAMIS, NSN, MCN
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with internet product search practices utilizing multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, etc)
- Basic analytical and creative problem-solving skills to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data, to establish the facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
- Excellent customer service skills including verbal communication, interpersonal, and planning/organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting
- Experience with warehouse industrial equipment
- Manage contract deliverables and deadlines efficiently
Preferred
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR)
- Knowledge of Army Regulations
- Knowledge of DoD CBRN Response Enterprise (CRE) Elements (CST/HRF/CERFP/FSRT)

Job is primarily performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, mobile devices and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Job duties may be performed in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and during various weather conditions.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
