About the Position: Serve as the Transregional Criminal Investigation Unit (TCIU) Supply Management Specialist, performing a variety of supply technician duties under the Logistics Division (S4) supporting subordinate elements.


Responsibilities
  • Maintain document registers and all files associated with the receipt, issue, maintenance, and turn-in of equipment to provide a full range of advisory services and technical guidance to the Group's logistics/supply personnel.
  • Manage property book accountability/audit procedures in the automated document registers.
  • Approve requisitions for authorized standard nonexpendable, durable, and expendable items and submits administrative service requests to procure nonstandard commercial equipment and supplies to the supporting installation.
  • Coordinate and verify pricing and availability of items with vendors locally and throughout the United States. Stores and issues equipment and supplies.
  • Advise subordinate units about methods to improve logistics support for their operational mission.
  • Review and analyze Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for supply support for clarity, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Act as the point of contact for all preventative and corrective maintenance for organization and installation equipment through supporting installation shops or by contract.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.     Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: utilizing logistic information in order to account for and control property, maintain and authorize equipment, coordinate and approve requisitions, and provide staff visits and logistical analysis. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

    Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

    OR

    Combination of Education and Experience: GS-11: If you have some, but not all, of the experience or education described above, you may still qualify by combining the amount of creditable experience and education that you possess. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 36 hours (total semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify.

    Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
