Job Overview and ResponsibilitiesKEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIESThe role of Supply Chain Coordinator is designed to:
- 90% - Inventory Management, Supply Chain Tolling, Warehouse/Terminal Management and Planning: Providing a range of operational activity support, liaison between various internal departments and Solvay Business Support (SBS) functions & external vendors.
- 10% - Supply Chain Team Support: Organizing, collaborating with the Supply Chain team on various activities and engagement programs.
Inventory Management, Tolling, Warehouse/Terminal Management and Planning support:
- Inventory Management Support:
- Responsible for updating SAP with forecast information, placing PO’s, receiving goods into SAP, reconciling inventory and providing updating SAP with forecast information feedback for Vendor managed inventory for BASF
- Monitors inventory levels at all domestic terminals and maintains the proper levels per the guidelines of forecast, stock on hand in SAP.
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Commercial and Logistics to minimize emergency shipments through the proper management of terminal inventory.
- Work closely with Supervisor to generate/review inventory and come up with month end estimates
- Warehouse/Terminal management
- Manage goods receipt of offline sites (Boasso, CBSL Pasadena, Huntsville etc)
- Distribute all paperwork and address inventory questions related to 3rd party warehouse vendors
- Planning
- Focus on improving Planning tools to give visibility to current state in order to drive correct decision making (Supply Chain Analysis tracker)
Education and Experience
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree or Commensurate work experience
- 1+ Years experience in a Supply Chain role
Skills
- Excellent Supply Chain work ethic
- Demonstration of ability to establish effective long-term relationships with various stakeholders in a customer focused environment
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication (verbal and written), and listening skills
- Attention to detail, and prompt follow up to open tasks
- Ability to understand Supply Chain Workflows (mainly vendor and processes workflows)
- Documentation management skills
- Excellent organizational & prioritization skills with the ability to multitask in a high paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite Products (MS Word, Excel, Google Sheets, Power Points, Access Database)
- SAP or Other ERP system experience
