Job Description

The Supply Chain Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the support and delivery of critical business applications in the areas of Demand/Supply Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Service. This role will work with both business stakeholders as well as IT counterparts to ensure that systems are operational, compliant, and meeting critical business needs. This role will act as business partner to the Supply Chain organization.


Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Serialization solution to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and business continuity.
  • Serve as application owner of Warehouse Management, EDI, and other applications which are critical to the Supply Chain function.
  • Act as IT lead in cross-functional projects
  • Recommend and support the introduction of new or improved technical and business practices
    • Gather and document functional requirements. Investigate and recommend solutions for change requests
    • Based on the business requirements, provide analysis about complexity and effort estimation
    • Assist in defining and reviewing the technical requirements for systems, including security, integration, performance and quality requirements
    • Facilitate transition of the technical designs to the appropriate programming resources to help confirm clear and complete understanding of the designs
    • Contribute to project deliverables including vision documents, status reports, test plans, validation protocols, etc.
    • Communicate status, business impacts and system changes to team members, business partners, sponsors, management and other interested parties
  • Manage incoming support requests; help business users troubleshoot application issues
  • Engage in problem determination, workaround resolution, and root cause analysis
  • Ensure standards and guidelines are applied and maintained across applications
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is

Work Experience:

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a business analyst role supporting supply chain and distribution applications required.
  • Experience in the Life Sciences industry is preferred.

Technical competencies:

  • Experience with the following technologies is required:
    • ERP (Oracle EBS/ERP Cloud preferred)
    • EDI
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge of supply chain and distribution processes and relevant applications
  • Computer system validation (CSV) knowledge
  • Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) knowledge and Serialization tools (Edge Track, ATTP, VRS) preferred
  • Project management skills
  • Understanding of change and release management
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously; adjusts to changes in priorities and manages time effectively
  • Ability to lead internal and external resources
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; skillfully gather, analyze and document information
  • Excellent communication skills, both formal and informal
