POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for balancing supply with demand to provide excellent customer service at the most efficient cost, running scenarios to increase overall asset utilization, working on strategic initiatives, inventory management and establishing and reporting KPI’s and reporting metrics to effectively manage the operations and continuously improve.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Balance supply with demand, publish weekly supply plan; identify and resolve complex problems supporting business objectives.
- Contribute to the monthly Sales and operations planning (S&OP) process that empowers leadership to focus on key supply chain drivers, including sales, marketing, demand management, production, inventory management, logistics and financial impacts.
- Manage inventory reconciliation, forecast & run what-if scenarios to optimize costs, market demand, analyze feasibility of alternate modes and for various projects such as storage sizing and supply source and mix.
- Foster collaborative relationships with our internal business partners (Sales, Manufacturing, Distribution, Safety, Finance) and external vendors to achieve the most cost-effective outcomes for Continental Cement. Communications must be tactful, respectful, clear and precise. The expectation is that information flows upward and downward throughout the organization.
- Proactively evaluate tools, reports and best practices in support of Supply Chain and Logistics functions including - inventory management, tactical supply planning, and cost analysis.
- Evaluate current business processes, identify gaps, analyze and implement process improvements that will improve service levels while decreasing costs and increasing cash flow for the company.
- Develop, implement, analyze and report month end results of Supply Chain metrics and provide a detailed write up of key variances month over month along with identified root cause failures; provide corrective actions and improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and standardize operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Supply Chain: 2yrs preferred
- Analytical Skills: Strong organization, planning, time management, attention to detail, ability to perform mathematical calculations of moderate complexity
- Problem Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to define operation problems, identify needs, resolve problems, analyze and interpret results
- Business Acumen - Knows how businesses work; financial understanding, knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting his/her business; knows the competition; is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.
- Customer Service focused; pleasant/positive attitude working with CCC team, customers, and the public.
- Computer skillset: Intermediate/Advanced
- Travel Requirements 15%
