The Supply Chain Analyst position will be responsible for planning and purchasing inventory to support third party manufacturing facilities to delivery on time finished goods. This position will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of a cosmetic brand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inventory demand management. Manage and expedite the inventory ordering process from issuing purchase orders and releases, to ensuring the timely arrival and receipt of product.
  • Review and analyze inventory levels.
  • Work with Sales team to establish Sales projections.
  • Interact on a daily basis with accounts payable, quality control, package development, marketing, and the distribution center.
  • Communicate with existing vendors and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Manage and improve supplier responsiveness and prioritization.
  • Adjusts due dates, quantities, and shipments as appropriate to meet production needs, ensures dates are communicated to and agreed with the supplier.
  • Analyze demand data, create sourcing plans and strategies.
  • Resolves any receiving issues with warehouse and incoming QC inspection.
  • Set and maintain targeted inventory levels while addressing shortage and overstock situations.
  • Maintains appropriate data at all times in appropriate systems, E.g., created and updates item master records and bills of materials.
  • Ability to execute Supply Chain strategies in a manual, Excel spreadsheet based environment. Key objectives will be, managing inventory levels with a focus on inventory reduction, and planning and executing seasonal finished goods supply plans.
  • Analyze inventory data as compared to long and short term planning
  • Participate in cross functional project teams, develop best in class forecasting modules.
. Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • MRP Experience; Sage X-3 preferred. Net Suite experience a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with increasing responsibilities for management within a dynamic entrepreneurial purchasing and procurement environment. Significant experience in a manufacturing, CPG, or big box retail, or distribution setting is desirable, specifically in Planning and Procurement to support business goals. Experience should also include exposure to both shared and outsourced solutions, as well as support of in-house information and communication systems.
  • Excel- ability to develop complex excel reports by utilizing v-look-ups, pivot tables, macros/micros.
  • Knowledge of work order planning and bill of material management
  • Possesses a clear understanding of financial measurements: sales, weeks of supply, inventory turn, sell thru and so forth
  • Excellent organization skills, ability to balance immediate and long term priorities and exceptional multitasking skills are a necessity
  • Proactive and motivated self-starter, organized, and effective at managing time (able to meet multiple deadlines for deliverables)
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with individuals at all levels including senior executive management.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, macros), Word and Power Point is a must.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills and unprecedented work ethic.
  • Must be highly motivated and self-starter.
  • Knowledge of work order planning and bill of material management.
  • Possesses a clear understanding of financial measurements: sales, weeks of supply, inventory turn, sell thru and so forth.
