  • ASQ (America Society of Quality) certification
  • Familiar with common international certification related to SBD industry (e.g. ISO9001, QS9000, IATF16949, SA8000 etc.)
  • Well trained with six sigma methodology, Green Belt minimum
  • Successful track record of quality management and improvement
  • Global mindset with experience working in an international/multi-cultural matrix environment
  • Experience leading diverse and remote teams
  • Multi-lingual (English, moderate understanding of Mandarin and/or Spanish is highly preferable)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management

What You’ll Do
  • This Corporate Supplier Quality role in Americas is to ensure all SBD BU / SBUs & plants in the region the successful execution of global supplier quality management processed & standards, which is designed for customer centered quality culture;
  • This position will act as the single point of contact for the region.
  • This position is to understand the baseline of current supplier quality performance, and lead the team, collaborate with BU/SBU, plant quality team, and cross functional team to drive YoY supplier quality improvement.
  • This position is to explore, develop and share best practice within the region and globally, in order to develop world-class quality team and develop supplier’s performance together with global quality organization;
  • This position is to support 22/22 growth, make where we sell strategy and supplier foot-print optimization in Americas;
  • This position will be potentially acting as GTS Supplier Quality Champion for GTS globally
  • Execute global supplier quality management process cross BU/SBU, finished good supplier and SBD plant component suppliers;
  • Drive supplier quality Improvement YoY for supplier quality KPIs in Americas region
  • # of cases of Major Quality Concern reduction
  • Supplier Quality ABC improvement,
  • Lead and push supplier to work out a practical quality plan (PPAP, SQA-015, QCP) by leveraging NPD milestone (PPAP) approval process;
  • Develop and define a process and proper resources from both supplier and SBD SQE team to audit the quality plan, and make sure supplier 100% execute it;
  • Develop and lead the SBU SQE to solve major quality concerns effectively for plant, DC and customer;
  • Work with supplier for continues improvement includes:
    • Address and follow up the open issues after Product Launch.
    • Implement Engineering Change from Stanley Black & Decker side
    • Request/support Engineering Change (or called REA) from the supplier side
    • Root Cause analysis (finish bone, 5W, 8D)
    • 6 sigma project development
  • Hire, retain and develop global supplier quality talent in Americas region
