This position is located in Field Operations Directorate, Central Regional Office, Dallas TX

As a SUPERVISORY RECORDS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST you will serve as subject matter expert to organizational managers in a variety of functions related to Records and Information management, management of information system, data analysis and reporting, customer relations and process analysis.


Responsibilities
  • Provides expert supervisory, technical, and administrative direction to a multi-function team of Analysts that are responsible for providing a variety of management services and guidance essential to the efficient and effective operations of USCIS.
  • Provides program oversight and administrative direction of the operations of the Records Program for the Regional Office and its District and all subordinate Field Offices to include liaison with District leadership and Headquarters components.
  • Serves as subject matter expert to organizational managers in a variety of functions related to Records and Information Management, management of information system, data analysis and reporting, customer relations and process analysis.
  • Formulates policy, performs strategic analysis and planning, conducts program outreach, coordinates training, develops metrics and ensures compliance with Federal laws, regulations and guidance and advices managers on any issues.
  • Uses broad data analysis to identify and resolve problems, investigate and determine innovative solutions to complex issues, coordinate with personnel at the Headquarters and Field Office levels, and prepares reports and/or presents recommendations.

    Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position. You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.

    Qualifications

    GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:

    • Providing technical and administrative supervision to a staff of analysts engaged in programs administering records management.
    • Coordinating and directing the accomplishment of difficult and diverse functions or issues.
    • Analyzing and implementing issues related to the establishment of program goals and objectives.
    • Establishing long-range work plans and determining the actions necessary to accomplish these objectives.
