Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in managing and performing a full range of law enforcement functions, actions and activities in the protection of life, property and civil rights such as physical security, anti-terrorism, report writing, apprehend violators, access control, traffic law enforcement, conduct preliminary and/or ongoing investigations, and issuance of citations; AND assisting with the management and training of police officer personnel and with the development/implementation of law enforcement programs, operating plans, policies, and procedures.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or equivalent).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone - no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
