- Develops IT-related solutions to business problems through advancements and achievements in OIG information technology infrastructure. Problem solves existing IT infrastructure issues, develop and deploys new IT infrastructure solutions through all phases of the project management lifecycle.
- Develops and maintains project plan portfolio for new and ongoing initiatives in the area of IT. Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures and Policies for the ongoing management of IT programs, systems and processes. Provides reviews and submission of policies and projects that impact the OIG IT programs and systems.
- Mastery knowledge in the preparation of the submission of CIO strategic documents such as the OMB or Congressional Budgets and Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) Budget IDC (Integrated Data Calls).
- Lead the Agency's IT Investment Planning Tracking and Reporting of Capital IT investments through a repeatable process for collecting, organizing and disseminating information to report on and assess the return on investment for IT services, systems and projects.
- Coordinate with OCIO staff and other Senior Agency Officials, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), legal and other agency staff for the development of, change to or retiring of agency records (electronic, paper, etc.)
- Manage projects to strengthen compliance and identify gaps with records and information management.
- Provides expert knowledge and support in records management and assists OIG staff and program officials in all aspect of the records and information management (RIM) program.
- Mastery knowledge of records management work which includes planning, controlling, directing, organizing, training, promoting, and other activities involved with respect to records, creation, records maintenance and use, and disposition in order to achieve adequate and proper documentation of the policies and transactions of the Federal Government and effective and economical management of OIG operations.
- Develops backup and restore procedures to maintain compliance with government regulations.
- Directs and supervises through subordinate supervisors the assigned program and functional assignments. Assigns areas of responsibilities to subordinates, establishes broad requirements and provides guidance in interpretation of precedent or policy areas.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG), works within the U. S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to promote efficiency and effectiveness, and prevent or stop waste, fraud and abuse in departmental programs. We do this through audits and investigations. The position is located in the Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Inspector General (OIG), Assistant Inspector General for Administration and Management, Office of the Chief Information Officer, Washington, DC.
The incumbent serves as the supervisor of the Information Technology (IT) Governance Staff.
