Job Description

Job Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for ensuring all health and safety requirements are met at all times for the warehouse.
  • Perform all functions within the shipping Department including but not limited to, shipping, receiving, production put-away, inventory functions, loading and unloading trucks, and driving the fork lift.
  • Work with the USA Warehouse Manager to review inventory levels to determine proper reorder levels and safety stocks based on demand that will ensure product availability and minimize inventory cost.
  • Maintain appropriate receiving, inventory, picking, loading, and delivery methods for the plant.
  • Manage all operations pertaining to the warehouse, building maintenance, and shipping and receiving operations.
  • Develop continuous improvement strategies to meet and continually improve the warehouse’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Continually evaluate most cost effective options for maintaining packaging supplies.
  • Contact outside contractors and the USA Warehouse Manager for building needs and maintance.
  • Communicate effectively with customer service personnel to meet 100% on time customer delivery expectations
  • Develop and accomplish on time shipment goals
  • Communicate with management, co-workers, subordinates and other business contacts in a timely and courteous professional manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of classified information.
  • Train and motivate staff to ensure an effective and efficient team.
  • Ensure all Warehouse personnel are sufficiently trained to perform job duties per work instructions, procedures, and policies
  • Emphasize and supervise a very neat and clean workplace, including orderly storage of finished goods and packaging supplies throughout the plant.
  • Maintain all Warehouse personnel records ensuring that all necessary documentation is performed regarding all warranted situations such as counseling, evaluations, training, accidents, and attendance
  • Cross-train personnel in the Shipping department to ensure there is a backup for each position.
  • You must be vigilant and perceptive, a self-starter and problem-solver, who can motivate and "rally the troops".
  • Liaises with transport companies, supply vendors and customers as needed.
  • Participates in weekly meetings with upper management and executives to discuss successes and failures.
  • Supports project and process improvement initiatives.

Skills / Experience / Education Requirements:

• Excellent leadership, negotiation and organizational skills.

• Able to communicate with others.

• Ability to efficiently and effectively handle shifting and multiple priorities.

• Solid computer skills, Microsoft Office, ability to create spreadsheets

• Ability to lead and influence staff.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 100 lbs. with activities that typically require a variety of muscle movements with frequent requirement for speed and coordination. Environment with frequent exposure to dust, dirt, inclement weather. Required PPE - steel toed boots, safety eyewear, gloves and hardhats.

Ability to travel for business purposes. Potential to visit with customers or remote warehouses as needed. Mid-year / year end physical inventory at LV warehouse and possible remote TX warehouses
