JOB SUMMARY
This job leverages people, processes, and technology competencies to support large-scale, complex initiatives, training vendor oversight and collaborates with Project Managers, HPO leaders, and other teams to design training solutions and deliver value to customers. The incumbent has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of training related projects. Wiill oversee all training activities, including training assessment and evaluation, material development, and training facilitation. The incumbent delivers value to customers through consultation, advisory, and delivery service in support training design and delivery solutions. The incumbent is accountabilities include, but are not limited to, owning deliverable artifacts, leading work streams, engaging key customer stakeholders, building and sharing institutional knowledge, and developing junior professionals. Additionally, has people manager responsibilities for Training Coordinators, Training Specialists and Senior Training Specialists.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority.
- Contribute to the delivery and execution of complex and large scale initiatives by: gathering required data through meaningful observation; analyzing, identifying and problem solving from information sets and presenting recommendations to team; developing training strategies and delivery solutions, curriculum, process flow and user guides.
- Plan and initiate training sessions analyzing HPO capacity planning, location strategy and new hire staffing needs. Advise Workforce management of training strategies and deploy resources Execute, monitor, and control delivery of all necessary training sessions.
- Ensure training procedures, standards, documentation and reporting are maintained, updated and in compliance with performance standards. Provides guidance and assists with updating training material to keep current with new topics and techniques. Prepares reports for management, clients or others as needed. Serve as a liaison and institute content for multiple Vendor Plans and oversee all training activities for the Vendors.
- Build, share, and maintain expertise in both business area and training delivery methods. Regularly provide consulting services and interface with Project Managers, HPO leaders, and other teams to deliver on customer commitments. Render required business and/or subject matter expertise for training related activities.
EDUCATION
Required
- High School/GED
Substitutions
- At least 6 years of leadership experience and a minimum of 4 years training and development
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Health Administration or Education
