Job Description
  • Responsible for assisting the Studio Tour Driver Manager and Assistant Manager with managing the Studio Tour Driver staff, Teamsters - Local 399, also includes managing the day-to-day operation of the Studio Tour.
  • Supervises the daily operation of the Studio Tour, including coordinating and maintaining the daily tour route while working with other departments such as Lower Lot, Special Events and Technical Services
  • Responsible for managing all employees by setting work expectations and leadership standards.
  • Offering consistent and timely feedback to hourly staff to ensure effective communication between management and staff.
  • Develop and implement programs to improve guest and employee satisfaction. Ensure appropriate and timely investigation and response to guest and employee concerns.
  • Oversee employee reviews and counseling to ensure all guidelines and policies are followed.
  • Work closely with other unions B-192, Studio Guides and Studio Tour Ambassadors.
  • Need to be a quick thinker with the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Assists in creating, maintaining and supporting the labor and non-labor budgets.
  • Review and approve all hourly staff time and attendance forms for accuracy.
  • Provide daily summary of day-to-day operations.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Oversee route/animation operation and cleanliness
  • Work closely with VIP to maximize VIP and tram throughput through animations on the Backlot.
  • Assist Driver management with operational compliance.

Qualifications/Requirements

o High school education required
o Minimum 3 years of operations management experience in transportation, theme park or hospitality industry, including experience in guest service.
o Valid state driver’s license
o Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and nights as required

Desired Characteristics

o Two or four year college degree preferred, or equivalent work experiences required
o Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
o Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Work and PowerPoint
o Experience managing in a union environment
o Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
o Proactive thinker/self-starter
