Supervisor Stores & Spares Control

Position Summary

Cleveland-Cliffs, Mansfield Works, located in North Central Ohio, a stainless steel melting, casting and hot rolling operation and one of the nation’s leading producer of specialty flat rolled stainless steel, has an immediate opening for a Supervisor Stores & Spares Control to join our team. The Supervisor Stores & Spares Control will be responsible for planning, supervising, and directing the activities of the storeroom in the receipt, storage, inventory control, and issuance of all supplies and stores materials for plant operations. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, organized, work in a fast paced environment. Our facility is the leading producer of specialty flat rolled stainless steels.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise personnel and directs the shipment of material and equipment sent out for repair.
• Process and approve all requisitions of supplier invoices.
• Participate in the safety, quality and environmental programs by conducting observations, audits and meetings.
• Maintains inventory control and records.
• Maintain security of the storeroom, monitor inventory and set levels of inventory.
• Analyze and evaluate requirements of spare parts and supplies

• Make decisions with a clear business focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Supervisory experience
• Knowledge of storeroom inventory procedures/processes
• Basic computer skills
• Experience in a steelmaking facility and union environment preferred

Location Summary: Mansfield Works is located on a 548 acre site in North Central Ohio, approximately a one hour drive north of Columbus. The facility’s stainless melting, casting, and hot rolling operations are housed in more than 1.6 million square feet of manufacturing space. Mansfield’s facility features a thin slab caster that uses an advanced technology production system to meet exact customer specifications. Mansfield Works has earned IATF 16949 and ISO-9001 certification. The plant is also a recipient of several customer quality and service awards.
