Job Description
About Ronald McDonald House Charities
Ronald McDonald House Charities creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. RMHC strives to be part of the solution to issues challenging families today. Families are challenged with how to stay near and support a hospitalized child; how to afford staying together in another city while a child is undergoing treatment; or even getting basic medical and dental care in underserved communities. We use our resources and partnerships in the community to help families gain access to healthcare services and keep families together during critical points in their children's lives.
Position Purpose
The RMHC Global Operations Team actively develops, maintains, and drives the execution of worldwide infrastructure and Chapter and program development. The team manages global operations, capacity building of Chapters, and builds and stewards the infrastructure of system support to ensure organizational excellence. Operations consists of nine functional areas: System Development & Operations, Compliance, Technology, McDonald’s In-Restaurant Operations for RMHC fundraising, People Development & Education, System Engagement & Resources, Environmental Sustainability, Impact Research and Global Grants.
McDonald’s generously enables opportunities for customers to donate to RMHC within the restaurants. Originating in 1991, the RMHC Donation Box Program remains the largest single fundraiser for the RMHC system. However, Donation Boxes are losing relevance with cashless customers as more customers move towards mobile/digital and/or contactless debit/credit payments. In the U.S. alone, the Donation Box program raised an incredible $16.9 million in 2020, however, the Charity saw a nearly 24% decline year over year. Since RMHC relies on the donations from McDonald’s customers to support its mission, it is important that the organization sustain – and increase – fundraising levels through the Donation Box program and other modern giving mechanisms. Platinum-level operational policies, practices and governance will continue to support RMHC in achieving this goal.

Such channels include, but are not limited to, the RMHC Donation Box Program (US), front-counter/drive-thru point-of-sale, self-order kiosks and Global Mobile App. In this role, the In-Restaurant Operations Supervisor will lead and provide analytical / decision support on key business strategies as well as monitor and maintain initiatives and stakeholder relationships to help RMHC maximize its fundraising potential through McDonald’s-facilitated giving channels. The ideal In-Restaurant Operations Supervisor perpetuates a strong understanding of various analytical and reporting tools, logistics and supply chain/asset management best practices – all while embracing continuous operational improvement and delivering excellent client service. This position reports to the In-Restaurant Operations Manager.
