Detailed Job Description
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.
- Requires to be placed an on-call schedule that could occur Saturday, Sunday or holidays.
- Ensuring adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.
- Meeting with staff regularly to discuss (challenges, concerns, updates, changes, review procedures, assign tasks, and highlight customer service key points).
- Monitoring timecards, vacation time, and sick time in Kronos, as well as scheduling weekend and overtime work.
- Delegating work to staff and managing their workload.
- Carrying out staff appraisals.
- Lead, observe, motivate, and train employees.
- Participate in personnel actions.
- Assign work orders to staff from CMMS system.
- Responding to emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Order and issue supplies for different facilities.
- Keep inventory of all Building Services keys. Issue and check-in keys to staff.
- Train staff on proper Institute and OSHA procedures.
- Perform inspections of areas assigned to staff.
- Strategize and coordinate with customers to determine their building cleaning requirements.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Respond to pest control work orders and contact exterminator as needed.
- Rearrange staff work assignments when shoveling the main entrances is needed during the winter months. Communicate this change the Building Services Supervisor and Director.
- Hiring, training, and supervising the students to setup tables, chairs, and other furniture for special events, as well as cleaning duties during events.
- Coordinate with customers to determine their special events setups and special events cleaning requirements.
- Resolves customer problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
- Schedule full time employees for events where there is not enough student coverage.
- Report staff labor hours utilized for special events.
