Job Description and Duties
The Supervising Program Technician (SPT) III is the first line working supervisor in the Criminal Record Update Program (CRUP), Criminal Record Update Section (CRUS) over Program Technician (PT) III staff. The SPT III must analyze, distribute, monitor, and prioritize workload; identify, resolve, and advise in resolving the most complex work. Train and assist personnel who update data on the Automated Criminal History System (ACHS) via the Justice Automated Data Exchange (JADE). The SPT III monitors and evaluates attendance and work performance and takes appropriate corrective action when necessary. The incumbent develops memorandums, correspondence, and personnel documents as needed, and prepares and reviews probationary and annual performance reports. The SPT III evaluates manpower utilization reports, workload production, and inventory data prepared by PT III staff and performs supervision of processes involving the entry and verification of source documentation into ACHS and associated criminal history databases and processors.

Special Requirements
This position is for the Evening Shift and is eligible for Pay Differential 85, which is an additional $78/month.A fingerprint check is required.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and sound judgment.
