Summer intern staff play a critical role in the success of The Global Leadership Summit on August 5-6. If you have a passion for the local church and helping Christians grow their leadership to maximize Kingdom impact, please consider applying for a summer intern position.
Dates: June 7 – Aug 13, 2021, 40 hrs/wk (higher during peak periods).
Purpose: The Main Campus Event and Logistics Coordinator plans and manages aspects of The Global Leadership Summit on the South Barrington campus, helping create a world-class learning environment for our guests by supporting the coordination of details including guest registration, check-in, lunches, signage, support managing the main campus resource center and other logistic details. This role supports the Director of Event Operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Attend and support event resume meetings and perform follow-up tasks as assigned
- Assist in aligning with the International Team planning and International meeting prior to TGLS
- Manage lunchroom allocations for international guests and large groups
- Work with and manage lunch vendors/food trucks * Inventory and order supplies for use during the event (radios, tablecloths, signs, etc.)
- Assist in communication with vendors, remote parking locations, WCCC and GLN departments.
- Manage proper distribution and allocation of meals for backstage staff
- Coordinate and work together as needed with other Interns
- Support Director of Event Operations with additional tasks related to guest experience
- Support guest engagement during high call volume dates and as needed
- Work with Main Campus Special Experiences Coordinator to align when necessary
Position Requirements: Candidates must be ready to work in a fast-paced environment and able to be calm under pressure.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to manage projects under pressure
- Strong interpersonal/ communication skills
- Comfort in talking with senior leaders
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work with Vendors
- Completed high school and one year of college
- A vital relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- An active participant of a local church that holds to a historic, orthodox understanding of biblical Christianity.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, seasonal role reporting to the Prison and U.S. Ministries Programs Manager.
General office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Specific days/hours requirement may vary depending on position and number of hours.
