Summer Camp Sports Coach

Our Summer Sports Camp Coach, enjoys a fun filled summer teaching campers 7 years - 13 years outdoor and recreational skills, organizing sport drills/games, and planning camp activities.

Role Responsibilities:

• Organizing team games such as soccer, football, lacrosse, softball and basketball, explaining the rules and acting as referee or umpire throughout the game.
• Lead warm ups, demonstrating various techniques and encouraging children to come up with ideas to add to our games and activities.
• Running team games to demonstrate skills taught
• Communicating with other counselors and administrators and providing updates where required.
• Providing guidance, motivation and support all campers.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as Camp Counselor or similar role working with children
• Familiarity with coaching and various sports
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (strength and stamina to follow strenuous activities like hiking, running, or crouching)
• High school diploma

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Township of Warren, NJ 07059: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
• Sports coaching: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
