Substitute Behavior Technician

Founded in 1988 through a collaborative effort between the J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center and local parents of children with autism, Pathways is committed to utilizing scientifically validated teaching methodologies in improving the lives of individuals with ASD and their families. Pathways education and treatment strategies are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Individually tailored curricula address speech and language, pre-academic and academic skills, daily living and self-care skills, play and social skills, vocational skills, and assessment and treatment of challenging behavior.

As a Substitute Behavior Technician, you will responsible for:

• Working in a school setting supporting children 1:1 with autism & related disorders
• Utilizing a model of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)
• Ability to deal with broad range of needs presented by children with autism
• Working with children involving crisis management

Education/ Requirements:

• Associates Degree (minimum of Teacher Assistant Certification or Paraprofessional Certification) in education, special education or related field
• Bachelors’ Degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Safe driving record
• Automobile insurance
• Access to personal vehicle to be used as directed and when needed for transport
