Job Description

We are a fast pace Residential Treatment Facility and we are looking for POSITIVE and DEDICATED LVN's to join our growing company!

Primary Purpose and Function

The LVN, RN, LPT, or CNA is responsible for the nursing assessment, medication monitoring, intake screenings, monitoring health status to determine if health status warrants transfer for urgent or emergent care, testing associated with detoxification from alcohol and drugs, and provision of alcohol or drug abuse treatment services (including detoxification).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current California LVN, RN, LPT, or CNA license or certification in good standing with no restrictions.
  • Current professional liability insurance.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in residential healthcare facility preferred.
  • DHCS Standard 13010(b)(6) requires personnel file to contain health screening report and tuberculosis test results.
  • Current CPR and First Aid training.
  • Two (2) years of current, continuous sobriety, if in recovery.
  • Computer skills adequate to perform word processing and electronic health record duties.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    • Daily documentation to maintain compliance with JCAHO, IMS, and DHCS regulations;
    • Accept and transcribe orders from physicians;
    • Order medications from the pharmacy as necessary;
    • Accountable for counting, tracking and documenting medications taken by residents;
    • Audit resident charts for quality assurance;
    • Monitor/report resident vital signs, COWS, and CIWAS;
    • Provide and record BAC and UDS tests on residents as required;
    • Nursing protocols for admission and discharge of residents;
    • Detailed reports to interdisciplinary team regarding clients meds and behavior
    • Answer phone calls as needed;
    • Routine checks on all safety and nursing equipment and document;
    • Report to direct supervisor;
    • Incident reporting, as needed;Nurse must be willing to, as needed, conduct property searches of residents and perform routine wellness checks.
