STUDIO COORDINATOR
Leading, global production and post-production company seeks a Studio Coordinator to actively support and lead the customer-facing Studio Services team in Santa Monica, with responsibility for creating a premium but welcoming atmosphere for clients and staff alike. The Studio Coordinator will ensure the smooth operation of the company’s studio facilities and the successful interaction with its clients, supporting certain space operations, aspects of team/culture management, and assigned internal projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate for this position will be charismatic, highly organized, and have significant experience in the hospitality industry. The Studio Coordinator will report directly to the Studio Manager with oversight from the Head of Studio Services.
Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide premium hospitality services for studio clientele in the feature film, television, and advertising industries
- Greet clients and create a lively, welcoming atmosphere while exhibiting professional and graceful demeanor
- Manage studio spaces on a daily basis: coordination and communication with vendors, upkeep, presentation, and supply ordering
- Provide support to Studio Manager and Head of Studio Service with special project, studio operations, and staff management, taking lead on key tasks or deliverables where required
- Facilitate client requests and support company staff, creating new and refining existing systems, where necessary
- Answer phones, transfer calls, and take/send messages
- Maintain food services, coffee/beverages, and kitchen/lounge
- Manage studio budgets strictly and carefully
- Interface with clients on a daily and ongoing basis to serve their projects and to build their relationships within the studio and with its artists
- Assist in facility scheduling, training, personnel issues, cultural events, and communication with producing teams
- Support producing team with special projects and problem-solving, as assigned
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and procedures onsite as a Certified COVID-19 Compliance Officer
- Enforce COVID-19 protocols onsite, implementing mask use and encouraging regular disinfection of work stations
- Maintain plentiful supply of PPE and cleaning products
- Perform hourly sanitation checks by disinfecting all high touch points and surfaces in common areas and client rooms
- Support executive teams with scheduling, travel arrangement, expense tracking, and time management
- Other duties, as required and assigned
Qualifications
Required qualifications and background:
- 3+ years of professional customer service/hospitality experience
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university and superior writing skills
- Outgoing, friendly personality and ability to thrive in a busy environment
- Strong aptitude for hospitality, networking, and client interaction
- High attention to detail and superior organization skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
