Job Summary
The School of Business (SBA) has launched the Business, Economic, and Applied Research Center (BEAR Center) to support the local business community with economic and business-related research and analysis as well as provide outreach services including statistical and other business-related training. To accomplish this mission, the BEAR Center requires the use of two student assistants to provide support relating to the overall operation of the center and a large research project.
Responsibilities- Develop a database of dual enrollment program requirements for all University System of Georgia Institutions of higher education
- Assist with data cleaning and data analysis
- Assist with survey-based data collection for research
- Work with the SBA Business Relationship Coordinator to handle administrative tasks
- Prepare and circulate promotional materials for the BEAR Center including flyers and emails
- Assist with survey-based data collection for research
- Work with the SBA Business Relationship Coordinator to handle administrative tasks
- Develop/Edit PowerPoint presentations summarizing BEAR Center research project result
- Must be enrolled for 6 or more credit hours at Georgia Gwinnett College
- Must be in good academic standing
- Ability to work well with their the GGC students, faculty, and staff
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Work approximately 8 hours a week
- Major or Minor in School of Business or demonstrated experience in business-related research
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- An interest in education, business marketing, business development, or other business-related field
- Students on President's List or Dean's List
