Stress Analyst, TSIII, Service Engineering in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
The following unique skills are required:
- The ability to effectively work with and support a multidiscipline team of engineers, mechanics, Tech Ops, Quality Control, upper management, etc.
- Flexibility to move quickly from one assignment to the next and the ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative skills and the ability to effectively communicate the organization's position with external and internal customers
- A fundamental understanding of static stress analysis as it relates to sizing airframe structural repairs and the ability to do classical/hand analysis.
- Experience as a stress analyst in post-production environment or a production MRB stress engineer
- Experience in the analysis of Primary structure, fatigue analysis and damage tolerance analysis.
- Experience with airworthiness regulations in regards to major repairs or alterations of airframe parts and components and the requirements to find compliance when analyzing a repair as well as a working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 certification requirements.
- Review and approve designs, drawings and/or models to ensure stress related regulatory requirements are met.
- Performs engineering work related to the investigation and the solution of technical problems associated with research, design, development, of aircraft installations Have the ability to identify potential issues in design; analyze and recommend changes/alternate solutions.
- Familiarity with ODA organization
The following unique skills are preferred:
- Gulfstream engineering experience, e.g. G650, G500, G600.
- Experience in the repair and analysis of composite structure
- Experience with ODA operations as it effects Major Repairs
- Experience in preparing Certification Plans
- Experience using FEM for either primary / secondary aircraft structures
- Experience with certification activities associated with Supplemental Type Certificates (STC)
- Familiarity with STC certification projects.
- Experience with aftermarket aircraft modifications, such as, LRU installs, radome/fin cap installs, antenna installs, and cabin interior modifications are preferred.

Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required. 13 yrs specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. - Develops standards and guides for diverse engineering activities .
- Conceives and plans investigation of broad areas of importance for which engineering precedents are lacking in areas critical to the program .
- Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum preferred.
- The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
