Job Description
Strategic Product Manager (eCommerce) - Remote

This position is a strategic product line owner in the company and is responsible for the overall growth and profitability of assigned product lines (examples: credit, debit, fraud, digital). The position will craft the product vision, cultivate and execute strategies, build business plans, and deliver sales support to drive profitability and penetration results. The incumbent will develop the budget for each assigned product and any associated marketing campaigns. In addition, this position will collect and prioritize products, market drivers, customer requirements, and launch new solutions to help deliver winning payment solutions to the industry.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Build, lead, and implement an annual strategic plan, marketing plan, and budget and coordinate all plans to ensure alignment with company objectives
  • Responsibility for forecasting line revenue and profitability by collecting and analyzing internal capabilities and capacity, market demand, and external competitive information
  • Lead and direct development of all product commercialization duties, including sales strategies focusing on solution differentiation, pricing comparisons, advertising methodology, marketing approach, competitive comparisons, and cost/benefit analysis for solution participants
  • Partner with Marketing Services to build and prepare advertising and promotional materials for products and solutions for member credit unions and consumers
  • Partner with member credit unions and advisory group credit unions for select market evaluation, research, surveys, focus groups, and pilot testing
  • Be a specialist on market trends affecting solution offerings to improve market opportunities and minimize the negative effects of competitive activity
  • Build and publish or present thought leadership regarding trends and usage of assigned product lines.
  • Ensure effective communication of pertinent information to internal staff and external member-owners relating to new solution initiatives and existing solution improvements
  • Lead and participate in meetings to support the executive committees throughout developmental stages to track and communicate progress; participate in various PSCU, Vendor, Partners, or other advisory groups or committees
  • Maintain current knowledge of the latest industry trends and integrate them into product line where appropriate; consult credit unions on best practices relating to the product
  • Report and routinely update solution performance information for reporting to Senior Management
  • Represent and support PSCU personnel at sales meetings, vendor and partner meetings, trade shows, and association functions
  • Direct the development of product documentation, procedures, training, and marketing materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Role Requirements:Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Experience:
  • Five (5) + years experience in specific job function’s industry (example, Credit, Debit, Fraud, Digital).
  • Three (3) + years of product management experience required.
  • Two (2) years of product marketing-related experience required.
  • Three (3) + years of budgeting and forecasting experience required.
