APPOINTMENT PERCENTAGE (FTE): 100

ANTICIPATED START DATE: January 3, 2022

SALARY: Minimum starting is $18, Commensurate with experience

ABOUT THE JOB: Administrative Assistant III (AD003)

The student services support associate (SSSA) builds a supportive student success relationship across the Stout Online team. The position also supports assigned limited-touch CI programs and serves as the primary point of contact for assigned program’s student support, providing high quality, best-practice student support in the area of online and distance education for nontraditional learners. Last, the position provides administrative support to the associate director and is responsible for assigned departmental projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum / Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of office or administrative support experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and the Internet.

Highly Desired

  • Post-secondary or related administrative training (training, certificate, associate’s, bachelor’s degree, etc.).
  • Three (3) or more years of recent, consecutive years of experience working in student services in a higher education environment.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft, UWBI, ImageNow, Drupal, SharePoint, EMMA or other email marketing service, and Qualtrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administrative and Department Coordination –70-75%
  • Adult Student Services Support – 25-30%

The hourly rate for this position is based on experience and available budget. A six-month probationary period is required. The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State retirement plan.
