Summary of Duties:
The Stewardship Communications Coordinator is responsible for crafting general as well as personalized stewardship communications/acknowledgments for all donor levels, including correspondence on behalf of WSU Foundation leadership and the WSU President's Office. The position will, independently and in collaboration with other staff, create a range of content, including but not limited to impact articles, stories, donor profiles, testimonials, event collateral and scripting, acknowledgement correspondence and other written content on behalf of the WSU Foundation and WSU to be distributed in a variety of print and electronic media. They will be responsible for collaborating with colleagues across the WSU system as well as external stakeholders, and must be able to independently take a project from conception to completion. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Stewardship for the WSU Foundation.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, humanities, public relations, OR related field AND one (1) year of writing/editing/public relations experience; OR equivalent education/experience.

- Understanding of editorial research best practices and the ability to track down information from a disparate set of sources.
- Demonstrated ability to project manage multiple projects.
- Strong proofreading and copy-editing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work priorities and work independently, as well as in a team.
- Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision.
- Ability to develop and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues, other university units and external constituents.
- Demonstrated skill with attention to detail and policy.
- Highly developed MS Office skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of philanthropy and donor stewardship.
- Experience writing profiles of individuals.
- Experience customizing communication templates.
- Experience with databases and data analysis.
