Job Description
High Country Motor Lodge, an ALL NEW Boutique Retreat in the HEART of Flagstaff is now accepting enthusiastic applicants, as we seek HEARTfelt hospitality professionals to open, care for and cultivate Classic Hotels & Resorts most unique destination!

Summary of Position:

The Steward/Dishwasher is responsible for providing warm, welcoming, genuine, efficient, resourceful and HEARTfelt care for washing the dishes, pots and silverware, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding culinary areas. Will also assist the Kitchen Supervisor and team with projects and culinary execution as needed. Seeking FT and PT candidates for this role!

Essential Functions:

Wash dishes, plates, glasses, silverware, and small wares to health department standards

Clean overall kitchen, walls, floors, and stainless steel

Maintain staff breakroom/restrooms as scheduled

Stock and organize plates, small wares, etc…

Other supportive functions as determined by the Kitchen Supervisor, AGM or GM.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma preferred

Certificates or Licenses: Maricopa County Food Service Worker card/certification

Experience: Sanitation / Food and beverage experience preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic sanitation skills
  • Knowledge of dishwashing procedures and standards set by the health department

Personal Characteristics:

  • Behaves ethically and honestly
  • Communicates effectively: Speaks and listens and engages in a clear, thorough, and timely manner, effectively reading and writing, using the English language (preferred)
  • Professional Appearance: Exhibits an appearance appropriate for a four diamond resort (Specific grooming standards are available for review)
