Busy and seasoned private Pain Management practice in Southern California seeking to add a Salaried California State Licensed Physician Assistant to our team at our Main Lakewood, CA Office to assist in patient treatment. Must be willing and able to travel to our Riverside and/or Rancho Cucamonga sites (possibility for a dual RC day due to patient volume demand later that same week) on alternating Mondays, and our Santa Ana location every other Wednesday on a set schedule. On Call (Sometimes may need to see patient at the hospital) will be on a rotating schedule with The Senior Physician Assistant, Physician Assistant Administrative Support and Pain Doctors. We are interested in applicants preferably with Pain Management, Orthopedic, and Workers Comp experience, but will consider recent graduates with promise and potential willing to learn. Bilingual in English/Spanish most highly preferred.

Primary responsibilities include treatment in a Medical Office setting from a variety of referral sources. This Pain Management practice utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to include surgical procedures. The chosen candidate will be part of a successful and growing practice with known physicians in their field, and locations throughout Southern California (Riverside, Rancho Cucamonga, and Santa Ana). This position entails working in a busy office that is very fast-paced.

All interested applicants must be able to work in our Lakewood Home Office for the majority of the time including taking consults at Lakewood Regional Medical Center, and at our Riverside, Rancho Cucamonga, and Santa Ana locations part of the time on an alternating set schedule. The Travel Portion is not negotiable. Being on call on a rotating schedule will also be taken on. Administrative Duties are also to be expected outside of clinic treatment. Having a strong work ethic, good bedside manner & customer service, and positive and respectful interpersonal skills will go a long way!

Job duties include Conducting Patient Assessments, Order or directly provide treatment(s), and give patient support and education. The work will be under all protocols to develop a patient-centered treatment plan that is safe and effective. The Physician Assistant will provide complete and timely clinical documentation in the company’s Electronic Health Record system.

Applicants must possess a current Physician Assistant License from the State of California. Excellent Communication Skills, Have Attention to detail, and on an Administrative Capacity be able to assist within their scope with Independent Medical Review and Appeals, in attempts to get authorization for our patients - verbally and in writing, to include professional savvy speaking to WC Nurse Case Managers, performing over the phone peer-to-peer reviews, etc., and working efficiently and productively with the practice staff in order to get this accomplished. Experience in Pain Management, Orthopedics, Workers’ Compensation, and Bilingual in English/Spanish Preferred.

Compensation will depend on experience, along with Health Benefits to include Medical, an Employer paid Life Insurance policy, and voluntary Vision, Dental, Chiropractic/Acupuncture care at a discounted rate, and AFLAC Secondary insurance offered.
