FirstLight Home Care is looking to add a strategic, competitive Recruiter/HR Staffing Coordinator to our rapidly growing Overland Park, KS office!
About the Role.
This position is perfect for an intelligent, results-oriented person. The role will be centered on recruiting, training, and driving a results-oriented people strategy that will help promote the company’s reputation as a leading national home care provider.
The Recruiter/Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for consistently recruiting talented, passionate, and reliable caregivers to serve our elderly at home. Job duties require a leader with demonstrated success in Human Resources, especially Recruiting and Training personnel, in addition to managing and implementing basic human resource processes, and best practices.
Job Duties and Responsibilities.
- Responsible for Recruiting and conducting Orientation Training for new caregivers.
- Assist with day-to-day management of basic Human Resources functions.
- Collaborate with the Office Team (Schedulers, Care Coordinator’s, Sales) to prioritize hiring needs and ensure the successful, timely, and seamless onboarding of employees prior to their needed start date.
- Develop, Direct, and Deliver company programs and employee incentives that support the company’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
- Effectively manage, coordinate, and administer FirstLight employee relations policies and objectives directly to all staff and caregivers in accordance with company policies and works to create and maintain positive employer/employee relations.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure company’s compensation models and programs are aligned with FirstLight’s strategic business objectives and are competitive, equitable, and consistent with the industry.
- Recommend and manages employee initiatives/programs to increase human capital, provide additional/ongoing education and training opportunities, promote continuity of company culture, retain key talent, and increase employee satisfaction.
- Proficient in using company software and systems to effectively recruit, onboard, train and manage personnel.
- Efficiently assist in tracking and managing office inventory, office collateral supplies, and resources.
- Periodically be able to step into other roles and cross-functionally perform job duties necessary to accomplish daily business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience.
- 5+ years of Recruiting/Staffing and or Employee Training Experience.
- 3+ years of Human Resource Experience. Experience in a leadership role a plus!
- Experience handling the entire life cycle of employee relations and other HR related matters for a company with at least 50 employees.
- Entrepreneurial spirit – creativity to identify opportunities when others may not see them and a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” to execute.
- Experience managing personnel and a willingness to have “tough conversations” to get the results needed.
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills; comfortable with high degree of interaction with employee’s and management.
- Self-motivated with an extremely strong sense of urgency.
- Flexibility to adapt and change as priorities evolve in a rapidly growing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time.
- Strong business acumen and proven experience as a creative leader and culture builder.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities to optimize business performance.
- A proven ability to influence teams and internal resources.
