Job Description

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH STAFFING COORDINATOR
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating the personnel needs within the Behavioral Health (BH) Department. They act as liaison to the Human Resource department to assist with hiring and onboarding process. This professional also will be the primary coordinator employee records and ensuring that all necessary trainings, documentation, or credentials are current in order to meet regulatory requirements. Scheduling and payroll for the BH department would also fall under this position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Functions as a member of the BH Leadership Team to facilitate the day to day running of the BH units and support the Director as well as the staff that report to members of the Leadership Team.
  • Identify departmental employee requirements and create a staffing strategy
  • Act as a liaison to the Human Resources Department and facilitate hiring as well as onboarding of prospective employees.
  • Create work schedules and enforce compliance with company and industry standards
  • Determine staffing shortfalls and report job vacancies and scheduling problems to Human Resources.
  • Monitor employee records and ensure they meet regulatory requirements in regard to training, necessary documentation, licenses, etc.
  • Oversee the assignment of online teachings and ensure that trainings are up to date and that all employees have completed necessary training.
  • Monitoring and approving employee time worked and payroll

9. Reviews bi-weekly time sheet for accuracy.

10. Participates in interview and training of personnel.

11. Provide education to medical residents, and staff as needed and able

  • Represent LECOM Health and MCH within the community.
  • Assists with completion of chart audits, performance improvement projects.
  • Demonstrates professional behavior and interactions at all times with patients, family members, other professionals and staff.
  • Assists with programming and staffing as needed at the LECOM Health Millcreek Community Hospital and Partial Hospitalization Program.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: BS/BA in human resources, business administration or related field or sufficient relevant experience.

Experience: At least 3 years experience working in a staffing coordinator or HR role
