Job Description

The Polyclinic is seeking a Staffing Coordinator for the specialty float pool team for the Madison Center location in Seattle, WA

The Staffing Coordinator will work with the Practice Managers to coordinate staffing, payroll and PTO requests. Will provide coverage for staff meetings on an as needed basis. Coordinate All leave requests and provide appropriate level of daily staffing.

Hours: Mon-Fri- 6:30am-3:00pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

Respond to vacation requests within 5 working days. Responds to stat requests within appropriate time frame. Verifies PTO prior to authorization. Provide appropriate level of coverage for vacation, illness and medical/dental appointments. Maintain daily float list and rotate personnel within their own department. Observe style of practice and discuss needs with Physician and Practice Manager. Remind employees of clinic policy regarding vacations, sick leave and absenteeism.

Document when employees float to another department for payroll. Processes or oversees payroll exception reports. Creates and maintains physician vacation for staffing needs. Processes payroll for the Practice Manager department.


Work as a team member with nursing staff, physicians, administration and other managers of The Polyclinic department.

Assists the nursing managers in reaching department goals which are consistent with goals of the organization. Assists in coordinating inter-departmental activities with other departments within the clinic. Observe staff at work and provides input to nurse managers. Reports daily any concerns or problems regarding vacation/problem areas. Report overview of daily and future staffing plans and concerns on a weekly basis or as needed. Review current and future staffing levels on a monthly basis and/or as needed.


Education: High School Degree

Certification / Licensure: Not required.

Experience: Three to five years experience in a staffing or clinic role.
