The SMB (Small to Medium Business) Job Outcomes team is looking for a strong frontend engineer, who is eager to build features that make it easy and beneficial for employers to tell us how hiring is going for a particular job. This data is then used for crucial business decisions throughout Indeed. You’ll bring a wealth of skill and experience in JavaScript or Typescript, front-end best practices, and API architecture to our product team, and be ever-vigilant about the performance, accessibility, and sustainability of the solutions you’re developing together. You and your team will release new code frequently, and use Indeed’s robust A/B testing system to understand and iterate on the changes you’re making to help people get jobs.
The SMB Job Outcomes team is responsible for making it as easy as possible for employers to tell us how hiring is going for a specific job so that Indeed can optimize their features on increasing the probability that the employer will make a hire .
Indeed’s job search engine serves billions of search queries every month connecting tens of millions of jobseekers to relevant job opportunities. As part of a small collaborative team from engineering, operations and product management, you will work on areas such as feature extraction, document indexing, retrieval, and relevance scoring. We constantly dig into the data available at Indeed to analyze, inform and develop solutions to the right problems. BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related computer technical field with 5+ years experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Java, Javascript/Typescript, C++, C#, Python, Go, or Perl;
- MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related computer technical field with 3+ years experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Java, Javascript/Typescript, C++, C#, Python, Go, or Perl.
Minimum 3 years of experience building web applications with Javascript/Typescript based technologies.- Minimum 2 years of experience mentoring more junior Engineers
- Significant experience with large scale, high-performance systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead with empathy
- Experience with (Webpack-based) module federation preferred
- Experience with full stack development (cloud-based deploy, production alerting/monitoring, APIs, databases) is a plus
