Come be a part of our mission! We are looking for you to join our team as a Staff Power Electronics Design Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA. As a Staff Power Electronics Design Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You’ll get to Do: Under minimum supervision, perform DC-DC power converters design and analysis to support development of power supplies module for new product. Design tasks include system level requirements analysis, subsystem level requirements development, conceptual design, preliminary design, and detailed design through design verification and characterization. Analysis tasks include circuit modeling, simulation and analysis as well as signal and power integrity analyses on PCB design. WOODLANDHILLS

Basic Qualifications:

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• 14 years of Engineering experience with a Bachelors of Science in a STEM discipline; 12 years of Engineering experience with Masters; 9 Years with a PhD
• Prior experience in low power (<500 W) and low voltage (<50V) DC-DC Power Supplies design
• Experience in power electronics circuit modeling and simulation
• Experience with schematic capture and working knowledge of Mentor Xpedition design tools
• Experience in circuit and sub-system test and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with printed Circuit Board design using Mentor Xpedition Designer and AMS
• Experience with HyperLynx Signal and Power Integrity analyses
• Experience with PSpice Electrical circuit design analyses
• Experience with design verification and test
• MSEE with emphasis in Power Electronics Design
