Northrop Grumman Space Sector is searching for an experienced Staff Engineer Software to join the Systems Engineering Integration & Test Development Team within Launch Vehicles business unit located in Chandler, AZ. • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs.
- Develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
Tool Administration
- Provide requirements management and tool administration for multiple programs in support of systems engineering teams
- Guide systems engineers in utilizing the DOORS tool to effectively manage their requirements which may include defining schema, setting up databases, and identifying users and appropriate access levels
- Provide support to maintain consistency across programs with respect to hierarchical structure, core attributes, and naming conventions
- Identify, control, maintain and manage changes to program requirements baselines
- Verify mapping of requirements to program documentation, identifying gaps and coordinating with responsible engineers
- Gather and prepare requirements information in support of design reviews and technical meetings
- Support DOORS users with process and tools questions and best practices

Basic Qualifications:
- 14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance is required Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert in DXL scripting and DOORS Administration
- Expert in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with VBA and macro development
- Experience with SharePoint
- Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, often under strict deadlines
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn new tools, approaches, and concepts
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
- Perform other duties as necessary
