Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Global Technology, Engineering, and Quality Group (TEQ) is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Anaplan Certified Model Builder (Analyst Business Performance Finance) who will be responsible for providing architectural guidance and establishing best practices in relation to Anaplan focusing on model building supporting the financial transformation and commercial planning processes in GlobalFoundries. The position will define, build, and drive implementation as well as maintain digital business models across multiple areas of the corporation. In addition, this role is responsible for the introduction of Anaplan solutions and business models to stakeholders as well as for the training of end users in GlobalFoundries.
Essential Responsibilities Include:
- Understanding key business processes and business requirements
- Translate requirements into functional requirements and use cases
- Craft and build Anaplan application models to support business processes
- Build and develop Anaplan modules using the Anaplan Way methodology
- Configure and maintain Anaplan lists, modules, dashboards, actions, and other model settings to meet business needs
- Participate and/or lead UAT testing and deployment
- Develop model documentation
- Build data flows to and from clients’ systems and reconcile data
- Define user roles and permissions in Anaplan
- Be part of building a larger Anaplan team developing internal enablement programs
- Provide production support and training to Anaplan global user base
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications:
- Business or Financial analyst background with Anaplan level 2 or level 3 model building certification.
- 1-3 year or more experience of successfully implementing Anaplan solutions as Anaplan Model Builder.
- Proven knowledge of a formal system implementation methodology – requirements gathering, design, build/test and deploy (Anaplan agile methodology preferable)
- Strong expertise and deep understanding of multi-dimensional modeling
- Ability to translate current spreadsheet models to effective and efficient Anaplan model designs. Design ability to translate complex excel models into scalable (low sparsity) multi-dimensional Anaplan models
- Experience implementing Enterprise Performance Management solutions such as Cognos, Hyperion, SAP BPC, Business Objects, TM1, PowerBI, Advanced Microsoft Excel / financial modeling skills Strong understanding of data/integration both inbound as well as outbound with various source systems (ERP, CRM, APS, etc.)

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong systems aptitude, able to identify opportunities to leverage technology as an efficiency enabler
- Ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management, and diverse audiences
- Possesses strong influencing, coaching, communication, and facilitative skills
- Flexibility to travel as needed to worldwide GlobalFoundries facilities (<30%)
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree (BA or MS) in Information Technology, Information Management, Business Administration / Finance, or Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical preferred)
- Working experience in a multi-cultural environment across different time zones
