Sr. Software Engineer Partner Experience

The senior software engineer senior should have advanced knowledge of the application and the technology stack. This person will play a key role in the planning and delivery of future changes to the application. The senior SE will be expected to have a deep technical knowledge of the application and understand how it interacts with other applications across the organization. This person will need to work independently with little guidance. Expected to help guide other members of the team and perform code reviews. Provides valuable input into product strategic vision and roadmap. Leads cross functional communication to help define and align work.

Essential Activities:

• Make recommendations towards long term application roadmap, architecture, design patterns, and monitoring and alerting strategy.
• Understanding of adjacent and enterprise applications in the organization relative to supported applications.
• Lead technical scoping, design, resource needs and estimation process for large and complex projects.
• Lead in comprehensive root cause analysis of issues within supported applications as well as interactions across enterprise systems and drive the implementation of resolutions that align with long term strategies.
• Have a good command of the existing and emerging technologies or standards to improve the Safelite products and practices.

• Understand organizations lines of business, sources and drivers of revenue.
• Subject matter expert in the supporting business domain.
• Expert in the applications and the systems that support your business areas.
• Anticipate business needs and plan for future.
• Has established relationships with key business stakeholders relevant to the application team.

• Demonstrates knowledge and awareness of the adjacent business areas and associated applications.
• Able to prioritize effectively across multiple competing tasks.
• Consistently manages self and team workload based on priority with minimal supervision to effectively meet the delivery expectation.
• Able to use expertise and experience to confidently provide appropriate recommendations and make timely decisions.
• Communicate effectively to all audience including technical, business and leadership.

• Consistently fosters collaboration among team members by building functional working relationships across Safelite through respectful dialogue, sharing lessons learned, proactively seeking feedback and crediting the team for accomplishments.
• Effectively plan and lead projects, collaborating across the enterprise.
• Provide mentorship for team member's professional growth.

Technical Skillset:

• Expert with .NET / C#

• Experience building and operating Microservice based eco systems
• Experience with RESTful pattern (JSON)
• Experience using cloud-based platforms and container services (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Experienced in HTML / CSS / JavaScript
• Experienced in using Vue.JS / Bootstrap or equivalent

• Responsive design
• Experience integrating front end with back end APIs
  

Requirements:

• 5-10+ years of related experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience with IT architecture and design concepts; software development lifecycle; project management; advanced and systems administration practices and principles; planning, design, and problem resolution
• Experience building and operating consumer facing web sites using Agile/Scrum methodology
• Experience building and operating consumer facing web sites using modern technologies like microservices and cloud-based platforms
• Experience with leading developers and driving critical project timelines and roadmaps
