Sr. Product Manager, Data Aggregation

Locations: SF, SEA, STL, CHI

The Climate Corporation is modernizing the agriculture industry with our Digital Farming Platform that is helping the world’s growers sustainably increase farm productivity with digital tools. We build hardware, platforms, and a suite of grower-facing applications that collect and process vast amounts of agronomic data. We then deliver insights that allow farmers to produce enough food to feed the ever-growing population.

We have a unique opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join our team to help enhance our data capabilities that acts as the foundation for our agronomic models, data analytics, and software products. In this role, you will be responsible for all of our customer data sets, including their definitions and quality metrics; the security and regulatory compliance for how all data sets are managed and accessed; and the development of new data sets to deliver new value to Climate customers.

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with Development, Design and Customer teams to deliver data to power the Digital Ag industry
  • Define and drive the quality metrics for all data sets used in Climate’s data services
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards for all of our customer data
  • Set the roadmap for new data sets, and the development of derived data insights
  • Work closely with science teams on the management and enhancements of data models used to generate agronomic insights for all of Climate’s production data sets
  • Communicate roadmap and product delivery across organizations

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in Data Management, Data Governance, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in Product Management or related field
  • BS in technical field or equivalent experience
  • Ability to identify and decompose customer problems, use cases and business needs into a functional data models and quality metrics
  • Strong Strategic & Analytical skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Advanced degree, MBA or technical field
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business organizations as well as executive level
  • Previous experience in Agile development and working with/within Agile teams
  • Creative, entrepreneurial spirit with a can-do attitude. Ability to juggle multiple initiatives at once and to prioritize effectively
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Intellectually curious
