Job Description

GEICO Technology Solutions is looking for a Sr. Power Platform Developer. As a Power Platform developer, you will work in a highly collaborative environment interfacing with many other GEICO teams to help develop and deliver critical enterprise solutions using PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.


Position Responsibilities
  • Help and guide associates to effectively use the Microsoft Power Platform
with best practices and methodologies
  • Collaborate with other members of the development team and project
managers to deliver solutions while meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Lead pitch meetings and requirements gathering sessions
  • Build components based on an established design
  • Write, test, and document application components to successfully deliver
project-based work
  • Work in an agile environment and participate in all agile ceremonies
  • Need to be able to lead projects from the front and interact with customers
and stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Enforce security controls, maintain the system roles and authorization
processes
  • Partner with security and risk teams in implementing process changes to
ensure compliance with privacy policies, security audits, and certifications
  • Be responsible for architecting and designing Power Platform
tenants/environments, liaising with IT, Security, and other technical groups
to ensure all integration needs are met and fully implemented
  • Learn new technologies and be aware of industry standards and trends

Qualifications:
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in solution
development using a combination of Power Platform and Multi-Cloud
technologies
  • Experience contributing to solution design activities
  • Experience building solutions using technologies such as PowerApps both
canvas and model driven, Data verse, Power Automate, RPA, Power Virtual
Agents, Power BI, SQL, Forms, SharePoint online, Dynamics 365 CRM,
Azure, Web Services
  • Ability to solve challenging business/technical problems
  • Willingness to think outside of the box to provide innovative solutions to
customers
  • Ability to impart your knowledge to both pro-developers and citizen
developers
  • Work with architects and other developers to ensure access and security
profiles meet the needs of the solution and all policies/restrictions are in
place
  • Collaborate with architecture and development teams to ensure that all
solutions are aligned to pre-defined architecture/design or Microsoft
recommended best practices for Power Platform
  • Experience with establishing and maintaining Power Platform Center of
Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit.
  • Platform Admin experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or
Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform governance, administration, and DevOps
  • 24/7 On-call support on a rotational basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working experience in CI/CD, Git commands, GitHub source, Azure
preferred
  • Prior experience with object-oriented programming technologies like
Java/.Net is highly preferred
  • Insurance industry domain knowledge
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications

This position will be a grade 66-68 dependent upon experience. Position is open for all locations and successful candidates will continue to work remotely per our department guidelines and continue to be part of the location where they are currently assigned
