The Opportunity Are you interested in the chance to work on professional creative software product that touches millions of customers across the world? If so, the Photoshop team is looking for a passionate Web developer to join us in shaping the future of Photoshop on the Web. Work within a fast-paced, agile environment, partnering closely with fellow developers, quality engineers, designers, and product managers. Play a key part in helping modernize this world-class product and delivering an incredible user experience. We are looking for someone who holds high standards and is technical, driven, and creative, and who with their clear communication skills, resourcefulness and collaborative approach can work effectively across the team to bring Photoshop to life on multiple platforms. What you'll Do
  • Challenge yourself as you collaborate with your peers to bring Photoshop to the Web, building an entirely new front-end built atop Web Assembly (Wasm)
  • Work with modern Web technologies such as Web Components to create portable, reusable UI
  • Partner closely with Design, Product Management and fellow developers to push the boundary of what can be done with animations, transitions, and more to create a fluid and elegant user experience
  • Help shape architectural and product design details when tasks or specifications are open-ended
  • Collaborate with teammates across all functional disciplines to ensure quality in all phases of development
  • Write beautiful, self-documenting code that others can easily read and adapt
  • Write and review engineering documents, review design specs and participate in regular code reviews

What you need to succeed
  • A masters degree (or masters) in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 10+years of experience developing modern Web applications, with strong programming fundamentals
  • Experience in writing robust and fully asynchronous code and MVVM patterns
  • Familiarity with Web Assembly a plus
  • Exposure to modern C/C++
  • Experience with Photoshop and working with large products and codebases
  • Graphics and/or image-processing experience (e.g. WebGL)
