Sr. Marketing Communications Manager
Summary/Objective

The Sr. Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for leading and managing the planning, development, and execution of integrated communications programs that achieve strategic business and communications objectives for Rug Doctor. Works closely with leadership to develop, implement and manage digital and traditional advertising campaigns and earned media efforts that support Rug Doctor’s rental, in-store retail, and ecommerce channels. This position will leverage strategic, creative, analytical, and planning skills to drive consideration and conversion of our consumer brands. This role also manages budgets, a creative team, and collaborates closely with the product team and external agency partners. This position has two direct reports including the Sr. Graphics Designer and the Digital Marketing Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop a multi-platform marketing strategy that aligns with business priorities and brand initiatives to attract, grow, and retain consumers through the sales funnel
  • Responsible to define and drive end-to-end marketing strategies, including channels, budget, branding, and content. Customer and consumer mindset
  • Defines target audiences and tailor’s messages and delivery channels.
  • Generate compelling, engaging content to support content-driven integrated strategy. Help identify the most effective communication channels to reach relevant target groups and help to feed these channels with the appropriate messaging.
  • Provide leadership to ensure that all brand communications are consistent, coordinated, support marketing plan objectives, and are an effective use of resources. Own strategy for brand partnership and coordinate closely with product team, operations, and sales on execution
  • Partner with product marketing, sales, customer service, information technology, and agencies to develop integrated marketing communications plans to deliver business objectives.
  • Manage agency relationships, creative development, execution, and measurement of integrated marketing activations. Supervise photo/video shoots as well as oversee development of marketing assets to include writing and editing content.
  • Own, leverage, and optimize Rug Doctor’s website content and ecommerce growth initiatives to include developing strategic content and engagement plans that support brand positioning and marketing objectives.
  • Identify KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies and campaigns including translating the data into actionable insights and recommendations for future initiatives.
  • Serve as an expert advisor on digital and traditional marketing strategy and brand management to the organization. Research and stay current on marketing trends and recommend product/brand improvements in response to market changes.
  • Create and manage project timelines, regularly communicating with cross functional team members or clients as project evolves. Give accurate project timeline projections, acquire approvals, and meet deadlines while managing and executing multiple projects and priorities
  • Oversee the design, production, and dissemination of marketing and communications collateral.
  • Leads the integrated marketing plan development, focused on consideration and conversion and digital promotional programs strategy, including coupons and redemptions.
  • Prepare periodic reviews to measure and report performance of campaigns and assess against goals to continually optimize marketing plans.
  • Manage and professionally grow team members and develop and coach direct reports in maximizing their potential
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or experience that demonstrates ability.
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • 5 or more years of experience in Digital/Performance Marketing media and analytics, media agency experience required
  • 1-3 years of previous experience managing direct reports required
  • 3-5 Years of CPG experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field’s concepts and principles
  • Tenacious attention to detail, and ability to steward projects from inception to completion, plan strategically and execute flawlessly in a cross-functional environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset who is comfortable crafting break through strategies
  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude, with a willingness to be flexible and do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop Illustrator with graphic designer experience preferred
  • Proficient in Internet navigation and MS Office Suite – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
